Abstract: This study aims to examine the role of employee engagement and creativity in mediating the
information sharing and leader-membership exchange (LMX) effect on employee performance at
the University of Muhammadiyah Aceh (Unmuha). The population was all Unmuha employees,
totaling 193 employees. Unmuha employees are structural lecturers and education staff employees
who are spread out in each work unit. The sampling technique used was the census. Data were
collected by distributing questionnaires. The analytical tool used is SEM AMOS. The results of
this research at Muhammadiah Aceh University prove that Information Sharing and LMX affect
Engagement, Information Sharing and LMX affect creativity, Engagement, and creativity affect
Performance, Information Sharing, and LMX affect Performance, and Engagement and Creativity
partially mediate the Information Sharing and LMX effect on Performance. This finding explains
that the performance improvement model at Unmuha is a function of increasing the role of
Information Sharing and LMX, as well as the function of increasing the role of Engagement and
creativity. |
