Title: A GLIMPSE IN THE STORY BEHIND THE ORIGIN OF THE BARANGAYS IN THE TOWN OF GUBAT |

Abstract: This study ensured the underlying stories and identity of the villages in the Jungle town. Historical
description-analisis design was used in this study. Purposive sampling was used by the researcher
to identify villages and randomly sampling the choice ofyam. The researcher conducted interviews
with several senior and some village officials who knew about the origins of their village. The
proceeds of the data were analyzed and interpreted.
Every village in the Jungle town has a proud and unique identity. Some of the source of the place's
name is tree and plant, building name, cave, and feast ng g saints and sanctimony, handmade
products such as these, mats, ox, and more. The source story of every village name in education,
community, tourism, and local government has implications for raising awareness and capture the
interests of the Jungle. Can be used as a teaching tool and resource by local government in
developing tturism programs. Forest literature can be developed and spread and will help enrich
the community's knowledge. It is recommended that the mga story translated into a magazine can
be used as a school teaching experience. It can also be made locally an effective way to raise and
raise awareness among the people of the Jungle about their culture and colorful literature. It is
encouraged to use the folk work as a nudity to make the story more interesting and easier to
understand. It can also serve as a resource for local government in developing teaching and literary
programs that can contribute to community development.
