Abstract:
This study aims to explore the impact of effective communication and organizational culture and on employee performance, both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction as a mediating variable. The respondents comprised all 117 employees of Perum Bulog Aceh Regional Office. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS. The result reveals that for the direct effect, significantly the effective communication and culture affect satisfaction, and, culture and satisfaction affect employee performance. However, effective communication does not affect employee performance. For the indirect effect, significantly the satisfaction mediates the effective communication and culture effect on employee performance. These findings also explain that satisfaction functions as a full mediator for the effective communication model influencing employee performance, and as a partial mediator for the organizational culture model influencing employee performance. Thus, these findings explain that the model for increasing employee performance is a function of increasing effective communication, adjusting organizational culture, and increasing job satisfaction.
