Abstract: This study examined the impact of innovation attributes on the competitive advantage of female
entrepreneurs in Delta State. It specifically determined the effect of innovation conviction, creed
and mindset of the female entrepreneurs on their competitive advantage. A quantitative research
design was employed, and data were collected from 150 female entrepreneurs through structured
questionnaires. The findings revealed that both innovation conviction (? = 0.335; p = 0.022) and
innovation creed (? = 0.624; p = 0.000) have significant positive effects on competitive advantage,
while innovation mindset (? = 0.222; p = 0.125) does not have a significant impact. These results
validate the RBV by highlighting the importance of internal resources and capabilities in achieving
competitive success. They also support the diffusion of innovation theory by emphasizing the
necessity of adopting and diffusing innovative practices. The study extends the entrepreneurial
orientation theory by identifying specific innovation attributes that contribute to competitive
advantage. Practical recommendations include investing in innovation training, setting clear
innovation goals, fostering an innovative culture, allocating resources for innovation, and
encouraging collaboration and networking. This study provides valuable insights for female
entrepreneurs seeking to enhance their competitive advantage through innovation.
