Abstract:
This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of financial risk management tools in Iraqi companies, specifically in the General Company for Electrical Industries. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing a questionnaire as the main data collection tool, distributed to a sample of 50 employees. The research concluded that the effectiveness of risk management tools in the targeted company was at a moderate-to-weak level, attributed to the absence of a clear institutional framework, weak training and qualification, limited financial resources, and reliance on traditional methods. The study recommends establishing a specialized risk management unit, adopting modern scientific methods for risk assessment, enhancing risk culture, and allocating sufficient resources to develop risk management systems.
